Chic New Nightclub, Lounge, and Restaurant Adds New Dimension to World-Class Strip Resort

With the opening of the 40,000 square foot, $20 million design-driven dining and entertainment complex TAO, The Venetian-Resort-Hotel Casino has officially upped the ante in the battle for Las Vegas' burgeoning nightlife-seeking crowd.

TAO opened in New York City in 2000 and has retained its status as a hot spot, attracting celebrities and sports figures and catapulting the restaurant and lounge to iconic status. TAO Las Vegas is a multi-faceted and multi-story "Asian City" housing a restaurant, banquet facilities, ultra-lounge and nightclub.

The Venetian marked the opening of TAO, with a celebrity-filled weekend long event. On Thursday, September 22nd TAO Las Vegas open its door for a sneak peak which drew a crowd of nearly 3,000 of Las Vegas's well heeled set. On Friday, September, 23rd, the venue hosted a birthday party for Jermaine Dupri. Some of the Celebrity guests in attendance were: Mariah Carey, Usher, Ashanti and Nelly, all of whom gave a crowd of 200 an impromptu performance in the venues banquet room. On Saturday, September 24th, the 585-foot red carpet set up in The Venetian's Grand Hall for the official grand opening VIP Event saw the likes of Adrian Brody, Chelsea Clinton, Molly Sims, Paris Hilton, Daryl Hannah, Marcus Allen, Wilmer Valderrama, Tara Reid, Eve, Jamie Lynn DiScala, Josh Duhamel and many more.

TAO Las Vegas will open the nightclub for business to the public on Thursday, September 29th and the restaurant and lounge on Friday, September 30th. Hours of operation will be Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 10 PM - 5 AM for the nightclub; 5 PM - 5 AM for the lounge; and 5 PM - 12 AM for the restaurant 7 days a week.
