Westgate Resorts has added another property to its growing portfolio of resorts throughout the United States with the acquisition of the Wakulla Suites in Cocoa Beach, Fla. The 120-room resort will soon undergo significant renovations and operate as a boutique-style beachside hotel and vacation ownership resort. The property will remain open throughout the renovation.
Wakulla Suites, which features all two-bedroom suites, is located directly on the beach, approximately one mile south of the historic Cocoa Beach Pier, which Westgate Resorts purchased and renovated in 2014. All guest rooms, public spaces and the pool area at the property will be upgraded. All operations will immediately be assumed by Westgate Resorts including the reservations system. Future guests can now make reservations at www.WestgateWakullaSuites.com.
Located along A1A, the property provides direct beach access for guests and is just a short drive from popular area attractions including Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Ron Jon Surf Shop and one of the country's top cruise ports, Port Canaveral.
"We are excited about adding a Cocoa Beach resort to our portfolio," said Westgate Resorts Founder & CEO David Siegel. "This is an ideal way to complement our extremely successful revitalization of the Pier and extend the Westgate experience to guests visiting Cocoa Beach."
With the addition of this new hotel, Westgate now boasts 26 themed destination resorts with approximately 13,000 villas in premier locations throughout the United States and more in development. Over the past two years, Westgate has acquired the LVH – Las Vegas Hotel & Casino (now known as Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino), as well as the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League and the Wild Bear Inn in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
