Grand Hyatt Baha Mar announced the appointment of Peter McMahon as the property's new Managing Director. With more than 30 years of experience, he has been recognized for his innovative leadership approach, focused on developing his supporting colleagues and delivering guest service excellence.

"Seeing our team members achieve and advance in their careers has been a constant source of joy to me throughout my career, and I am excited for the many opportunities to come at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar."
McMahon was most recently the Managing Director of Carmel Valley Ranch, leading the resort to record results during his three-year tenure. He has served in executive roles with several Hyatt hotels including Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Hyatt Regency San Antonio, Grand Hyatt San Antonio, and the Hyatt Regency Savannah, where he was named Hyatt's General Manager of the Year in 2008.
An active member of local organizations in his hotel communities, Peter was a Club Director for the 800-member Carmel Valley Ranch and also supported 300 homes on the campus of the property. While in Atlanta, he served as a Board member of the Gateway Center, the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Atlanta Sports Council, the Georgia Hotel and Lodging Association, and Central Atlanta Progress. McMahon currently serves on the Board of Advisors for Oklahoma State University's College of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration.
