A scaled back Internet marketing budget is not ideal, but is something we’ve become accustomed to the past couple of years. Although 2011's travel outlook is more promising – 'ITB World Travel Trends Report' projects a 3% to 5% growth in International tourism, while PKF Hospitality Research predicts increases in U.S. lodging occupancy (2.2%), ADR (3.9%) and RevPAR (6.2%) – most properties are still working with limited marketing budgets, in particular online marketing budgets.
