Hotels in the Asia Pacific region experienced mixed results in the three key performance metrics during August 2013 when compared with August 2012 and reported in U.S. dollars, according to data compiled by STR Global.

Occupancy in the Asia Pacific Region Down 0.4% June 2013

The Asia Pacific Region's occupancy ended the month with a 0.4-percent decrease to 67.1 percent, its average daily rate dropped 3.8 percent to US$116.29 and its revenue per available room was down 4.2 percent to US$77.99.

Occupancy in the Asia Pacific Region for May 2013 Drops 1.3%

In May, the Asia/Pacific region’s occupancy ended the month with a 1.3-percent decrease to 65.9 percent, its average daily rate dropped 2.5 percent to US$119.69 and its revenue per available room was down 3.8 percent to US$78.82.




Global RevPAR Growth Projected For 2011

STR Global’s Market Forecast is projecting mostly year-on-year improvements in revenue per available room for the remainder of 2011 with some slowdown expected in 2012 for the 45 markets available.
