Trip.com Group data shows that outbound travel orders increased nearly 20 times, and domestic travel increased more than four times over the Golden Week period this year, compared to the same period in 2022.
Trip.com data reveals that global travel bookings for the summer (June 1 – August 31) have already surpassed 2019 levels, with intra-regional travel leading the way.
International flights during the holidays recovered to around 40% over the same period in 2019, with searches increasing by more than 60% compared to 2019.
Flight bookings from the USA to key European markets were up 246% in the first half of 2022, compared to the same period in 2021.
While July to September is considered a slow travel season for both Australia and Southeast Asian countries, Trip.com data shows that more travellers from these two regions are travelling during this season.
