Hotels Curated NYC, a half-day long event focusing on trends in design, technology and branding in the hospitality industry, will take place on October 4, 2013, from 2-6 pm at 55 Gansevoort Street, New York. Organized by The N Group and Indiewalls, Hotels Curated NYC will focus on the creation of new and innovative hotel spaces in the New York metropolitan area that not only have a revenue upside potential and customer loyalty benefit, but also create community and value for the neighborhoods they inhabit. New York City’s dynamic hotel industry is ever-changing, and has been adding more hotel rooms at a faster rate than the national average. It is estimated that 73 properties are under construction across all five boroughs, which will add 16,000 new rooms to current inventory by 2016 (NYC & Company). With renewed optimism in hotel development, and consumers looking for the ‘it’ property, new hotels are increasingly trying to differentiate themselves from the competition.
Two elements are critical in infusing uniqueness into a hotel property – its brand and its design. Both these elements affect not only consumers’ initial desire to book a room, but also their experience during their stay and their subsequent decision to return or not.
“At Hotels Curated NYC, movers and shakers of the hospitality industry will discuss and share insights into how innovative hotel properties and brands are developed and created,” said Nikita Sarkar, CEO and Founder of the N Group. “Our goal is to create an engaging, fun and content-rich networking forum that allows influential leaders to explore together opportunities and challenges in the lodging sector, especially in the trendy, independent and boutique hotel space.”
