High-Profile Projects Earn Grand and Merit Awards

First Finish;
Columbia, MD – January 18, 2011  – First Finish, Inc. has won two National Commercial Business Council (NCBC) Awards of Excellence in the categories of Division V-Commercial and Division VI-Mixed Use Commercial/Retail. The work done on the Little Nell in Aspen, Colorado earned the first place-Grand Award, and the work done on the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C. earned the second place-Merit Award in these categories respectively. The NCBC Awards of Excellence recognize achievements in the commercial building industry.

Judging was done by a panel of industry experts in six categories. Winners were selected based on remodeling and new construction design, market appeal, energy efficiency, challenges faced during building, and overall project success. Both winning projects will be featured in Nation’s Building News Online as well as the winter issue of Commercial Builder, an online magazine.

“The Little Nell is an internationally-known Aspen destination and is considered the epicenter of luxury lodging in America's most famous mountain town. In the same token, the Capital Hilton serves as one of Washington, D.C.’s most famous hotels. Both had very rigid and demanding work schedules,” states David Burman, president of First Finish. “The successful completion of each high-profile project required not only the productive collaboration of experienced groups of professionals, but also the ability of these project teams to quickly and effectively adapt when unforeseen situations arose.”

The Little Nell in Aspen, Colorado is a five star/five diamond, ski-in/ski-out resort.
