WASHINGTON, D.C., May 24, 2002 -- National Trust Historic Hotels of America, a collection of 185 historically significant hotels, recently announced its 2002 public relations committee. Carolyn Grubb, director of public relations at the Hotel du Pont in Wilmington, Del., was selected chairperson of the committee. Grubb has served on the National Trust Historic Hotels public relations committee since 1994.
In addition to advising the National Trust Historic Hotels of America staff on key marketing issues, the role of the public relations committee is to increase the visibility of the organization.

National Trust Historic Hotels of America is a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. National Trust Historic Hotels of America has identified 185 quality hotels that have faithfully maintained their historic architecture and ambience. To be selected for this prestigious program, a hotel must be at least 50 years old, listed or eligible for the National Register of Historic Places or recognized locally as having historic significance.
