Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) today announced the signing of its first hotel in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. The Greenfield hotel will be branded Vivanta.

Mr. Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, said, “This signing aligns with IHCL's strategy to be present in all state capitals. Itanagar is a major junction for culture, economy, education and recreation. As our second hotel in Arunanchal Pradesh, it will also offer a new circuit of Guwahati, Itanagar and Tawang. We are delighted to partner with Taling Eichir Infra LLP for this project.”

The 150 keys hotel is strategically situated at a driving distance from the Donyi Polo Airport. The hotel will have the signature multi-cuisine restaurant and bar, along with recreational facilities including swimming pool, health club and a fitness centre. It will also offer over 6500 sq. ft. of state-of-the-art banqueting space including meeting rooms.

With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have nine hotels in North -East India including five under development.
