Skander Ayari has been appointed as the Hotel Manager of the landmark property Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay. Skander’s background spans over twenty years and five countries, from city hotels in the Middle East and Europe to resorts in Africa. He has been with Four Seasons since 2019.

“I am proud to take over the role of Hotel Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, one of the iconic properties of our company,” says Skander and adds, “I instantly connected with our team, who blends the warm hospitality of Bahrain’s kind-hearted people with Four Seasons culture.”

Born and raised in Tunisia, Skander pursued his studies in France and graduated from the Hospitality Management School of Strasbourg. His career started in the food and beverage department at the Hilton, where he was promoted to the food and beverage manager position. Then, pursuing a new opportunity, he took the leadership of the food and beverage division of the Concorde La Fayette Paris. His third role in Paris was the director of food and beverage at Le Méridien Etoile Paris.

In 2014, Skander and his family moved outside France to the UAE, where he was appointed as EAM at Le Royal Méridien Abu Dhabi before joining the Radisson Group as Cluster Hotel EAM. In 2018, Skander moved to Mauritius to work at the Shangri-La Le Touessrok as Resort EAM before finding his way to Four Seasons.

In 2019, he returned to the Middle East, where his journey with Four Seasons began as the Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Kuwait at Burj Alshaya. From there, he moved to Four Seasons Cairo at The First Residence in December 2020, where he was then promoted to Hotel Manager in June 2022.

Skander’s deep passion for the gastronomy world and food culture was rooted in France, where he was dazzled with French cuisine while pursuing his studies. His interest in the culinary world played a significant role in his career. He says, “Our property is the culinary trendsetter in the dining scene of Bahrain, with its wide variety of offerings featuring the best examples of Italian, Lebanese, and contemporary Asian Cuisine and a modern steakhouse with numerous awards and accolades. Next year, with year-round pop-up events and brand-new wellness experiences, we will further increase the activities in our Hotel.”

Skander pursues operational excellence by providing full support to his team, creating possibilities and opportunities for them to enhance the guest experience continuously. From his point of view, attention to detail, keeping up with the trends, and getting to know the guests to exceed their expectancies is the key to operational excellence.

Skander is married, and he has two teenage boys. During his free time, Skander rolls up his sleeves in his kitchen to delight his family with his signature pastries, travelling, discovering new gastronomic experiences with his family, and playing golf with friends.
