Noble House Hotels & Resorts announced the promotion of Steven Marais to Vice President (VP) of Rooms.
Marais has been with the Noble House Hotels & Resorts brand since 2015, when he began his tenure as Front Office Manager at the Argonaut Hotel in San Francisco for nearly two years, before his promotion to Director of Guest Services. In this role, he extended his talents to provide crucial support for diverse task force initiatives across the brand.
Marais then transitioned to the corporate team as Corporate Rooms Director in September 2018, drawing upon over 15 years expertise in the hospitality industry. He supported the Noble House Hotels & Resorts portfolio through development of initiatives and programming that benefitted overall operations of the brand. During the pandemic, he was responsible for creating the COVID-19 operating standards for rooms operations, developing trainings for employees across the brand, and navigating supply chain disruption. He also led the re-opening teams at Little Palm Island Resort & Spa, River Terrace Inn, and The Edgewater Hotel. Marais was then promoted to Corporate Director of Rooms and IT Operations, expanding his role to sourcing and implementing new technology to improve efficiency.
"I am excited to take on this new role as Vice President of Rooms for Noble House Hotels & Resorts," said Steven Marais. "I look forward to continuing my work alongside a group of talented individuals who are continually raising the bar, as we keep Noble House at the forefront of the hospitality space."
Steven is a proud alumnus of San Francisco State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Beyond his professional achievements, he maintains an active and dynamic lifestyle, immersing himself in pursuits such as running, swimming, biking, and obstacle course races.
Marais' new position will commence immediately.
