Liz Dahlager, Executive Vice President of Mereté Hotel Management is accepted into the 2022-23 Cohort of Castell’s Elevate Program. Castell is an AHLA Foundation Project dedicated to the advancement of women to the highest levels within the hospitality industry. Their annual Elevate Program is unique as its focus is to elevate women in the industry with 12+ years of experience into more leadership roles.

Liz Dahlager was named Executive Vice President of Mereté Hotel Management in December 2021. Richard Boyles, President of Mereté Hotel Management says, “In her 13 years with the company, Liz has been instrumental in the growth of Mereté and has proved exceptional leadership. The Elevate program is an ideal opportunity for her to continue to grow as a leader and connect with other leaders in our industry.” In January 2022, Ms. Dahlager was awarded the Paving the Way Award from the AHLA Foundation at the Night of 1000 Stars Gala. This award honors the recipient’s efforts in helping other women be the best they can be in the hospitality industry. “AHLA offers a number of programs and opportunities to engage and learn, I am honored to be a part of Elevate this year and to continue my leadership journey” said Liz Dahlager, EVP Mereté Hotel Management.

The Elevate Castell Leadership Program kicks off with a 3-day live practicum in Washington D.C. and is followed by 1 on 1 coaching sessions, networking opportunities and workshops for continued leadership training. With 60% of hoteliers being women, only 10% hold senior leadership roles. Castell’s BUILD and ELEVATE programs accelerate women’s careers in hotels and across the hospitality industry.
