JLL (NYSE: JLL) announced yesterday the appointment of Julia Georgules as the Head of Americas Research & Strategy, succeeding Ben Breslau who stepped into the newly established role of Global Chief Research Officer last year.
In her new leadership role, Julia will be responsible for guiding the strategic vision and organization of the Americas’ 200-person Research team, which includes the United States, Canada and Latin America. She will serve as a member of the firm’s Global Research Executive Board and closely collaborate with JLL’s EMEA and APAC regions to bring the best of JLL’s research to its global and national clients.

Based in Boston, Julia has held a variety of roles within JLL’s Research team. She began her career with the Staubach Company in San Francisco, taking on research responsibilities in the Bay Area after its acquisition by JLL in 2008. Since that time, Julia has led JLL’s U.S. office research platform, co-founded and co-led JLL’s U.S. technology research practice and launched multiple national research progams and initiatives. Most recently, she led the research platform across the East Region and Canada.
Julia’s expertise spans both the occupier and investor businesses at JLL, with a special focus on innovation markets and the technology and life sciences sectors, two industries that have had a significant impact on the commercial real estate industry over the past decade. Additionally, Julia has spent nearly a decade studying the future of work and the impact of the macroeconomy on the built environment.

Julia holds an MBA with a concentration in Global Strategic Management from Dominican University of California and a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from San Diego State University. She is a sought after expert speaker and actively participates with several industry, economic and business organizations, including the Urban Land Institute, CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) and CoreNet. She is a regular volunteer at her children’s elementary school as well as with the National Brain Tumor Society.
