American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) and the American Hotel and Lodging Foundation honored its 2022 Stars of the Industry for their service to the industry on Sunday January 23 in Los Angeles California.  Each year, the AHLA’s “Night of a Thousand Stars” gala celebrates the hotel industry’s best of the best. The “Paving the Way” Award honors a woman who is more than a leader, but a role model in her community and a mentor who is committed to raising up those around her. Her reach extends beyond the day-to-day and resonates through the property, industry, and community. This woman is a shining example of all that can be accomplished in our industry.

Liz Dahlager, Executive Vice President of Mereté Hotel Management was recognized for her extraordinary accomplishments in the industry as well as her demonstrated commitment to serving others and her community. Liz joined Mereté in 2009 and had immediate impact to both business performance and the company culture. Richard Boyles, President of Mereté Hotel Management said, “Liz’s leadership style balances compassion and results.
