Available to HFTP and NCA members only, the publication covers cybersecurity risks, IT governance, regulation compliance, protection tools and response best practices, with a focus on club-specific environments.
Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) and the National Club Association (NCA) have partnered to develop a resource designed to provide members with a detailed guide on data and network security. “Comprehensive Practices in Club Cybersecurity” is a full-range report that helps club leadership identify cybersecurity risks, data regulation review, the tools to protect against cyberthreats, IT governance best practices, and response guidance in case of a breach.
“As the number of cyberattacks continue to rise and threaten businesses and institutions nationwide, the importance of having a strong and proactive cybersecurity strategy has never been greater,” said Henry Wallmeyer, president and CEO of NCA. “The guidance in this publication provides the foundation to an effective club cybersecurity program to protect clubs from online threats.”
HFTP and NCA are allied associations, partnering on projects which are mutually beneficial to their members and the club industry in general. The associations have worked together previously to develop technology resources for the club industry. This publication is an addition to this ongoing relationship, which drew from the expertise of their network to develop the content.
“A foremost priority for HFTP is to provide essential resources and guidance for the hospitality industry with the aim to help our members navigate the always changing business environment,” said HFTP CEO Frank Wolfe, CAE, FIH. “The strength of our association only increases with our partnerships with allied associations such as NCA. This is illustrated by the expertise sourced to produce this document, which is culled from our broad joint network.”
The publication is available to HFTP and NCA members only and can be downloaded through each association’s website.
In addition, the two associations will offer a three-part webinar series in January 2022 to supplement the information detailed in the report. Running on Thursdays, January 13, 20 and 27 at 2:00 p.m. EST, the topics focus on IT governance, member data protection and club cybersecurity best practices.
