Hilton (NYSE: HLT) is today celebrating the opening of Hilton Garden Inn Snowdonia, the first internationally branded hotel in North Wales. Located within the grounds of Adventure Parc Snowdonia, the latest addition to Hilton’s portfolio will offer the perfect escape for thrill seekers looking to combine action with relaxation.

The four-story, 106-key property, which is the first Hilton Garden Inn in Wales and one of the largest hotels in the region, is situated on an all-action site home to the world’s first inland surf lagoon.

Guests will have award-winning indoor and outdoor adventures on their doorstep with activities at the parc including paddle boarding, freshwater swimming, mountain biking, caving, zipline and a ninja assault course.

Steve Cassidy, managing director, UK & Ireland, Hilton said: “We’re thrilled to unveil such a special hotel in one of Europe’s most unspoiled landscapes. Hilton Garden Inn Snowdonia really does have something for everyone, balancing exhilarating activities and adventures with facilities to relax and rejuvenate. Hilton has a long history of thoughtfully opening up destinations to international visitors and the news of the return of leisure travel is a very welcome development as we all look forward to travelling again. This year alone we’re set to open 14 new properties across the UK, as we continue to extend Hilton’s renowned hospitality to even more new and exciting destinations.”

After catching some waves, guests can wind down in the hammam, hydrotherapy pools and relaxation pods at the Wave Garden Spa. Connected to the hotel, the brand-new spa features vitality pools, a Himalayan salt sauna and indoor and outdoor treatment areas with views of the sweeping landscapes of Snowdonia. Visitors can also take advantage of the guest-exclusive 24-hour fitness center.

The lagoon-side Zephyr’s Bar & Grill serves locally sourced food and drink from some of the region’s best producers and the hotel also offers four flexible meeting rooms with enough event space to host up to 300 attendees.

Alan Roberts, global head of Hilton Garden Inn, said: “Snowdonia is a stunning addition to our rapidly growing Hilton Garden Inn brand, combining upscale yet affordable accommodation with elevated amenities and warm service. This is a hugely exciting property that will no doubt attract loyal guests from all over the world.”

In addition to the hotel highlights, guests visiting Hilton Garden Inn Snowdonia can travel with peace of mind from check-in to check-out with Hilton’s CleanStay program. New standards include a Hilton CleanStay Room Seal to indicate that a room has not been accessed since being thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, increased frequency of cleaning of all public areas, and flexible housekeeping options. As Hilton Garden Inn responds to the COVID-19 pandemic, some services and amenities have been adjusted in order to adhere to health and safety guidance from local government.
