Hilton (NYSE: HLT) last week announced the signing of a franchise agreement with Argenway to introduce the Hampton by Hilton global, upper-midscale brand to Rosario, the largest city of Argentina’s Santa Fe province. Scheduled to open in 2023, Hampton by Hilton Rosario represents the brand’s third development in Argentina and continued expansion in the Caribbean and Latin America where the brand has more than 50 hotels open and more than 20 in the development pipeline. This hotel is also Hilton’s second project with Argenway, owners of the soon-to-open Hampton by Hilton Bariloche in Argentina’s Patagonia region.
“We are thrilled to sign another project with Argenway and further our expansion efforts across Argentina,” said Pablo Maturana, managing director, development, South America and the Caribbean. “Argentina represents a great opportunity for Hilton’s growth strategy in the Caribbean and Latin America, and we look forward to introducing Hampton’s friendly service culture in a new destination in the country.”
Strategically located in the heart of Rosario’s downtown and forming part of a mixed-used complex connecting Presidente Roca and San Lorenzo streets, the 110-room, eight-story hotel will be a welcoming choice for both business and leisure travelers. As part of Hampton by Hilton, the hotel will offer warm surroundings, a friendly service culture and a staff that guarantees guests are 100 percent happy. Hampton by Hilton Rosario will feature the brand’s reliable amenities including free hot breakfast, complimentary WiFi, a 24-hour business center and fitness center, while each guestroom will include HDTV, complimentary in-room movie channels and coffeemaker.
“With our Hampton by Hilton property opening soon in Bariloche, we are excited to work with Hilton once again and bring this upper midscale brand to another city of Argentina,” said Lisandro Cristiá, director, Argenway. “We are eager to bring this project to life and look forward to welcoming travelers with warm and friendly service at Hampton by Hilton Rosario.”
The port city of Rosario is the largest in Santa Fe province and Argentina’s third most populous city. Known for being at the heart of the country’s industrial corridor, Rosario is also home to a number of top tourist attractions including the Paraná River and neoclassical architecture maintained for centuries in buildings across the city. What’s more, it is the birthplace of several Argentine celebrities, including one of the world’s most famous football stars.
Hilton currently has a portfolio of nearly 150 hotels and resorts open to welcome travelers in the Caribbean and Latin America. In its 100th year, the company continues to pursue additional growth opportunities in the region and currently has a robust pipeline of more than 90 hotels throughout the region.
