euromic – Conducts first Annual General Meeting outside of Europe and the Mediterranean

euromic - the power of local knowledge debuted 2019 with its Annual General Meeting held January 18-20 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The meeting was hosted at the elegant SOFITEL Recoleta Hotel, by our local member ARGENTINA TRAVEL PARTNERS DMC, and its Managing Director Merina Begg, who orchestrated the event.

In all, over 40 Association Members spent 3 days discussing the past years performance and future strategy of the association whilst being treated to amazing incentive-style themed events featuring Football Day and Tango Day, followed by a Polo Day at La Aguada Polo Ranch, which included lessons and a full polo game played by professionals.

During the Tango Gala evening reception at Rojo Tango, the best tango show in town, euromic also honored two individuals for their exceptional services to the Association. Yulia Lekomtseva of Spanish Heritage DMC received the euromic Young Leader of the year award for her display of excellent leadership skills and on-going commitment to the Young Leaders programme.

Pascal Roulland, owner of Holt Paris Welcome Service received the Member of the Year award for his contributions to the Association during 2018.

This was the first Annual General Meeting held outside of Europe and the Mediterranean, Argentina won the bid by majority of votes from the association members.

This meeting had one of the highest turnouts. The long flights were rewarded with an exceptionally well-organised incentive style program which showcased Argentina and its beauty as a destination, their culture and culinary achievements in food and wine.

Hasan Dinc, President of euromic, said in his closing that any concerns or perceptions of holding such a meeting in a long-haul destination had been overcome and that the 46^th general assembly can be remembered as a significant success.
